Branding Clothing – How does your logo come to life?

You order branded clothing for your business, it arrives and looks great! But have you ever wondered how your logo gets onto the garments and how it all works? Below we provide insight into the different methods we use via our in-house facilities to brand your workwear and promotional clothing. By using our own embroidery and screen printing facilities, we ensure that a top level of quality and service is achieved every time you order with us.

  1. Embroidery

Embroidered clothing is perfect for workwear or business clothing, as it gives a highly professional, long lasting finish and makes your logo stand out. Embroidered clothing is often seen as better quality, making it ideal for the corporate market who are wanting to promote professionalism and top quality services. To embroider a garment, your logo or design is reproduced using a series of stitches, layers, and colours. The larger the logo, the more stitches and time it takes to embroider. The colours in your logo or design are matched as closely as possible to a large range of thread colours. Our embroidery machines can stitch multiple garments simultaneously, allowing us to fulfil larger orders. Our minimum order quantity for embroidered items is 16, which can be a mixture of different items, colours and sizes.

  1. Screen Printing

Screen printing is ideal for larger designs and logos, and is the most cost effective solution for large quantities of garments. This method uses ink pushed through a fine mesh which contains the design, onto the fabric of the garments. Each colour required is applied one at a time, as a different screen is required for each colour featured in the design – meaning screen printing costs increase with the amount of colours used.  The minimum order for screen printed items is 20, which again can be a mixture of items, colours and sizes. We have our own screen printing facility and produce the garments in-house to ensure the work is of the highest quality. We have automated screen printing machines with multiple heads, allowing for greater capacity and helping to maintain the quality of the finished garment.

  1. Heat seal & transfers

This method of branding is useful when you want the same effect as screen printing but don’t have the volume of garments to do so. The minimum quantity for heat sealing is just 12 garments, making it ideal for low quantity orders. This can again be a mixture of items, colours and sizes. The process of printing with transfers starts with your design being either digitally printed onto transfer paper, or machine cut from a heat reactive flexible material. This is then put into position on the garment and placed under a heat press. The heat transfers the print or material on to the garment, creating a beautiful finish!
