At Gilt Edged Promotions, we are always striving to support our local community wherever possible. As a promotional products supplier we have been able to work throughout the coronavirus crisis to support businesses in need and help them get hold of essential items and personal protective equipment that they need to carry out their work.
We have worked closely with the volunteers department at Northampton General Hospital to provide them with branded items during the crisis. This included discounted clothing for the influx of volunteers at the hospital, as well as badges of recognition for their ‘Stepping Up’ staff programme. We also collaborated with our sister company, USB2U, to donate 2000 lanyards and 500 power banks free of charge to the hospital.
Gilt Edged frequently support Northampton-based charity Cynthia Spencer Hospice through various fundraising activities and donating items for events, and this has not changed throughout the pandemic. We recently provided Cynthia Spencer with discounted ‘message bugs’ for family support. The blank strip attached to the bugs is for children to write messages to their loved ones in care while they are not able to visit in person.
We are also donating a mix of hand sanitiser and face masks to Northampton County Council, who are going to distribute the items to local charitable organisations in need of PPE. We hope this will have a far reach in helping members of our local community, and will help support local businesses and organisations in need at this difficult time.
