Making Caravan Sites and Holiday Parks Safe with PPE

With caravan and holiday parks looking to reopen soon so they can operate for at least part of the summer holiday season, these companies will be considering how to prepare their campsites and facilities to be as safe as possible for holidaymakers, following the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent restrictions. In order to operate safely, they will need to not only implement social distancing measures on-site and enhanced cleaning regimes, but they will need to think about how to protect people in high traffic areas and to keep staff safe too. PPE and other hygiene products will be needed to effectively protect people and stop the spread of the virus.

One of the main concerns for holiday parks will be how to reduce the risk of high-touch points such as door handles to facilities and pin pads for access to campsites. Hygiene hooks are perfect for this purpose – they are to be used instead of your finger to push buttons and open doors. Available in aluminium or plastic, they can be branded with your logo for a unique product to your park that you can give to guests upon arrival. These would be good to use for entry to reception buildings and on-site food and leisure facilities.

As with any business, hand sanitiser will be required for both staff and customers. We have developed our own brand of sanitiser with a local distillery, which is 80% alcohol and bottled in-house in our factory. A range of bottle sizes are available to suit all business types, from large bottles for refilling sanitiser stations to individual bottles for staff to carry around with them, and even bottles with a carabiner clip to attach to clothing or bags while holidaymakers are out and about.

Within holiday parks, people should be able to socially distance efficiently and stay within their support bubbles, but it would be beneficial to implement signage to remind people to keep their distance from other people. Signs are a great visual tool to encourage people to adhere to social distancing rules, and staff can even wear clothing and badges with these reminders on too.
