New UK Cookie Regulations

cookiesAs you may be aware a new law which applies to how you use cookies and similar technologies for storing information on a user’s equipment such as their computer or mobile device changed on 26 May 2011.

Cookies are small files that are saved by web browsers to help remember settings or actions that may help the user to use the site or remember things at a later date. The law now states that we need to make users aware of the cookies we are using.


We use Cookies for…
If you use our online shop, we use a session based cookie to remember the things in your basket. Normally this means that our site will remember your basket contents until you quit your browser. On an iPhone, iPod or iPad the session will last until you manually delete your cookies in the ‘Safari’ preferences.

We also use Google Analytics on the site. This helps us to monitor traffic and usage on the site. By using this we can better understand our customers needs and make improvements to the site. It is used by most websites to monitor their traffic
